Mark D. Smaller, Ph.D.
Mark D. Smaller, Ph.D., a psychoanalyst, works with adults, adolescents and children and practices in Chicago and Southwest Michigan. He is ont he faculty of the Chicago Institute for Psychoanalysis and Institute for Clinical Social Work. He is founding Director of the Analytic Service to Adolescents Program (ASAP), a joint treatment and research program of Morton Alternative High School and the Chicago Institute for Psychoanalysis. The program was recently featured in a New York Times article. He is also the founding Director of Great Expectations, an in-school counseling program at Saugatuck High School in southwest Michigan.
Dr. Smaller is the former Director of the Neuropsychoanalysis Foundation in New York; and, as a member of the American Psychoanalytic Association, Dr. Smaller chairs the Committee on Public Information.
