Marc Schoen

Marc Schoen is an Assistant Clinical Professor at UCLA's School of Medicine, where he teaches and conducts research on mind-body medicine and hypnosis.

Schoen's research and practice is focused on hypnosis and how the mind affects the body. Another interest is in the area of inflammation. His research and practice examine how hypnosis and other mind-body medicine approaches can be used to treat conditions such as Sleep Disturbance, Headaches, Pain, Stress, Irritable Bowel, Colitis, Arthritis, Allergies, and Skin Disorders. He also treats conditions such as Panic Attacks, Performance and Test Anxiety, Phobias, Surgery Preparation, and conditions where the mind is sabotaging one's ability to fulfill their potential.

His work has been featured extensively on television, radio, and in magazines and newspapers, in such publications as the Los Angeles Times, Wall Street Journal, Oprah, WebMD, Fortune Magazine, Health, Natural Health, Prevention, Yoga Journal, and many others.

Schoen's work has also focused on boosting College Entrance Exam performance.

Optimal Test Performance is one of his newest innovative programs. This program was created to boost performance on School Exams. It works by changing your mind and body's reaction to test taking to help you more fully reach your true potential in test performance.

Schoen is the creator of The Stress Answer, the cutting edge program that changes the Mind and Body's reaction to stress.

He is also the author of "When Relaxation Is Hazardous to Your Health." This book addresses the Let Down Effect, a new area of stress that deals with Post-Stress Illness or why we become sick after stress.
