Joseph Cardillo

Joseph Cardillo, Ph.D., is a best-selling author in the fields of health, mind-body-spirit, and psychology. His books, which include Your Playlist Can Change Your Life (Sourcebooks),  Be Like Water (Grand Central Books), Can I Have Your Attention? How to Think Fast, Find Your Focus and Sharpen Your Concentration (Career Press), and Bow to Life (Perseus Books), have inspired people of all ages and backgrounds worldwide. Foreign language editions of his work have appeared in German, Russian, Portuguese, Spanish, Arabic, Chinese, Korean, Malaysian, and Indian. 

Joseph teaches workshops in Health and Wellness at various colleges and institutions, including Broome Community College of the State University of New York and VAMC (Veterans Association Medical Center) Upstate, New York. As an educator, he has taught at several universities, including the University at Albany and Hudson Valley Community College, where he is a Professor of English and Creative Writing. He is a Research Associate at Mind-Body Medical University and a contributor to Great Parenting Academy.  He is a black belt martial arts specialist and a master teacher of Chinese and Filipino martial systems.

Dr. Cardillo has received two State University of New York sabbaticals for his work in consciousness studies and has appeared on a wide range of national radio shows, including Fox, USA Radio, CRN, and NPR.  He is a regular guest on various local television networks and has been featured on Sirius, ABC, NBC, PBS and Clear Channel affiliates. Feature articles on his work have recently appeared in The Smithsonian Magazine, New York Post, L.A. Times, Toronto Globe, New York Journal of Books, Library Journal, Family Circle, FIRST for Women, American Fitness Magazine, Fitness Magazine, Natural Health, Natural Solutions, GoodHouseKeeping.Com, and Personal Excellence.  

He received the 2011 State University of New York Chancellor's Award for Scholarly Reseach.
