Jessica Garrett is a visiting assistant professor of psychology at The Ohio State University in Mansfield. Her research focuses on understanding motivational processes in adolescence and the transition-to-adulthood. In particular, she aims to understand how young people balance choices across multiple contexts. Garrett received a Ph.D. in Education and Psychology from the University of Michigan and has been a research fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Human Development in Berlin, the Jacobs Center for Productive Youth Development in Zurich, and the Institute for Social Research in Michigan. In addition, she runs a dissertation coaching practice, OnTrack Academic, helping students stay on track to graduation.
