Jennifer Finney Boylan is the author of 13 books, including the forthcoming Stuck in the Middle with You: Parenting in Three Genders (Crown/Random House). Her 2003 memoir, She's Not There: a Life in Two Genders, was the first bestselling work by a transgender American. She serves as a member of the board of directors of GLAAD as well as a Trustee of the Kinsey Institute for Research on Sex, Gender, and Reproduction. A national spokeswoman for civil rights, Jenny has appeared on the Oprah Winfrey Show, Larry King Live, the Today Show, and been the subject of documentaries on the History Channel and CBS News 48 Hours. She has spoken at the National Press Club, Yale, Harvard, Amherst, Wesleyan, Dartmouth, Vanderbilt, Duke, and Bowdoin. Boylan lives in Maine with her wife Deirdre and two sons, Zach and Sean.
