Jeffrey Davis is a speaker, author of The Journey from the Center to the Page: Yoga Philosophies and Practices as Muse for Authentic Writing (Penguin Putnam 2004; Monkfish updated ed. 2008), and creative strategy consultant. As founder of Tracking Wonder Consultancy, he researches, interviews, and works with best-selling authors, entrepreneurs, scholars, scientists, teams, and schools. Jeffrey teaches in Western Connecticut State University's MFA in Professional and Creative Writing Program and has spoken or taught at renowned centers, universities, and conferences in four countries.
Wonder eludes being pinned down and evades our recognizing that we're in its midst. Yet, based on this middle-aged writer's experiences, research, and explorations, wonder may turn out to be the most important emotional experience for us adults to cultivate. Especially if we're in creative fields and have problems with motivation, novelty, follow-through, collaboration, or project completion.
