Jacinta Francis, Ph.D.
Jacinta Francis a public health researcher focusing on the impact of the built environment on a range of social and mental health outcomes. She received her Bachelor of Science, Master of Public Health and Ph.D. from The University of Western Australia, and is currently affiliated with their Centre for the Built Environment and Health. Her doctoral thesis explored associations between public space and mental health in new residential developments. Jacinta also has practical experience working in project coordination, program evaluation and health promotion. Her research interests include neighborhoods and public space, parks and restorative environments, positive mental health, and psychosocial outcomes such as sense of community, social support and sense of place.
