Fletcher Wortmann

Fletcher Wortmann is the author of Triggered: A Memoir of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (St. Martin's Press, 2012). In 2007, Fletcher Wortmann was diagnosed with crippling Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD). His condition is characterized by runaway intrusive thoughts, with no visible compulsions. After receiving treatment at the OCD Institute at McLean Hospital in Massachusetts, Fletcher went on to receive his Bachelor's degree in English Literature from Swarthmore College in 2009; he wrote his senior thesis on the evolution of the superhero in American culture. Fletcher lives and writes in Boston, MA. He remains cautiously optimistic.
