Notes from the Frontline
I'm an an advanced practice mental health nurse. I've worked on crisis and acute psychiatric wards for a dozen years. My blog tells the intense, day in-day out, sometimes violent, sometimes tragic, occasionally triumphant stories of patients and staff working together on the frontlines. I've known many of these men and women for years, some of them for a day or two. All names have been changed. The locale is Portland, Oregon.
