Deborah L. Davis, Ph.D.

Deborah L. Davis, Ph.D. is a developmental psychologist who writes books that support parents through crisis, such as the death of a baby, premature birth, and making life-and-death medical decisions. She has also written about medical ethics, perinatal bereavement care, and parenting in the NICU for medical texts and national organizations, informing and supporting health care practitioners who work with these families. Her latest book, A Gift of Time, is about perinatal hospice, a new model of compassionate care for parents and their babies who are diagnosed during pregnancy with a life-limiting condition. She is currently writing a book that supports parents whose newborns require intensive care (NICU). She is forever inspired by the resilience parents demonstrate and the transformation that takes place after weathering a crisis. Lately, since her youngest went off to college, she has branched out, writing a book that supports anyone seeking personal growth and a more fulfilling life.
