David Weiss
David Weiss is a Communicator: an author, journalist and multimedia producer constantly investigating what makes people tick. The grandson of two accomplished research psychologists, Sam and Anne G. Beck, who helped develop the Rorschach (inkblot) test, he grew up fascinated by the human mind.
Since entering into psychoanalysis himself in 2007, David became interested in connecting analysands with each other in productive new ways. His second book, In-Couch Camera: Adventures in Having Your Head Shrunk, documents that journey, and is currently in development.
In addition to combing the streets of New York City and global media for all things psychoanalytical, David is the co-founder of sonicscoop.com, a Website devoted to covering music and sound production in NYC. He is also the NYC editor for Mix magazine, and the co-author of the book "Music Supervision: Selecting Music for Movies, TV, Games & New Media".
