Burke Lennihan, R.N., C.C.H., author of Your Natural Medicine Cabinet, is a Harvard alumna and a health expert on Dr. Mehmet Oz’s ShareCare.com. She is also the producer and host of the award-winning local TV show A Healer In Every Home, available on the GreenHealingTV Channel on YouTube. With over 30 years in different aspects of holistic health care, she currently practices at the Lydian Center for Transformational Healing in Cambridge, Mass.
She went to Harvard expecting to become a physician like her father or a research biochemist like her mother, but as an undergraduate she developed a passionate interest in natural healing. After graduating at the top of her class, she opened and operated health food stores in Boston and Cambridge for 16 years, where she developed her expertise in natural remedies. In 1996, she cofounded and administered the Renaissance Institute of Classical Homeopathy with her mentor, internationally distinguished homeopath Dr. Luc De Schepper. She subsequently directed Teleosis School of Homeopathy from 2002 to 2009.
She has written and coauthored several other books and articles on natural health. With more than 35 years of experience in meditation, she teaches classes in heart-center meditation at Harvard University’s Center for Wellness. She is a lecturer on holistic health at the Center for Wellness and at Lesley University, where her book is a required text in the holistic studies department.
