Bernard Schwartz, Ph.D.
Dr. Bernie Schwartz is a licensed clinical psychologist and was the founder and director of the Student Psychological Services at Santiago Canyon College in Orange, California. He has taught at the preschool, elementary, undergraduate and graduate levels and has developed a number of specialties including sports psychology and parent-child relations, and has written extensively on both subjects. He has authored a number of books including the highly successful: How to Get Your Children to Do What You Want Them to Do, and most recently How to Fail As a Therapist: 50 Ways to Lose or Damage Your Patients (Practical Therapist) which focuses on the factors which lead to therapeutic success or failure. Currently, he is an instructor at Chapman University and supervises future therapists at Outreach Concern of Orange County which places interns in schools.
