Barbara Almond, M.D.

Barbara Almond is a psychotherapist and psychoanalyst who has practiced in Palo Alto, CA for the past 38 years. She is a graduate of Yale Medical School and did her residency at the Stanford Psychiatry Department where she has also served as an adjunct clinical assistant professor for many years. In 1997 she graduated from the San Francisco Center for Psychoanalysis where she is now a faculty member and a Training and Supervising Analyst.

She has published two books, The Monster Within: The Hidden Side of Motherhood and The Therapeutic Narrative, co-written with Richard Almond, M.D.
