Alain Samson, Ph.D.
Alain Samson, Ph.D., was born in Switzerland and studied sociology and social psychology at UC Berkeley and the University of Michigan, followed by Ph.D. work at the London School of Economics. As a social psychologist, he did research in the area of religion and cognition, as well as the effects of the media on thoughts and behaviors. He later became interested in consumer behavior and consumer psychology. His work in this area has ranged from consumer word of mouth to the psychology of binge drinking, often attempting to bridge gaps between academic theory and applied research. He is currently a senior consultant at the London School of Economics and scientific advisor at BrainJuicer Labs.
