Alain Samson, Ph.D., studied at UC Berkeley and the University of Michigan, followed by Ph.D. work in social psychology at the London School of Economics. His early research in psychology investigated the relationship between culture, religion and cognition. He later became interested in consumer psychology and behavior. His work in this area has ranged from consumer word of mouth to the psychology of binge drinking, often attempting to bridge gaps between theory and applied research. Alain is currently a senior consultant at the London School of Economics. He is also on the panel of experts of #ogilvychange, an applied behavioral science consultancy, and an associate expert at ESCP Europe Business School.
Alain is the founder of the Behavioral Economics Group and editor of the Behavioral Economics Guide, which is available on his domain, BehavioralEconomics.com.
