Will atheism replace religeon?

No. God, what a foolish question. o.O Here's a better question though; Why do atheist have FAITH that there is no God? Isn't this just as paradoxical as believing in God?

This makes as much sense as religion

I have an invisible purple unicorn living in my basement. Most people do.
If you do not believe this at the time of your death, you will be tortured by fire
for eternity.

Definition of terms...

i have never believed religion to be the equivalent to an invisible purple unicorn... i typically define the term specific to the grouping of those with similar belief systems...however religion whatever way you view it is a "set of beliefs." Doesn't that mean that your contrasting beliefs could in fact be defined as religion? Just kind of feel like your argument is flawed and felt i should perhaps point that out...

Amen to that @Anonymous

Seriously, How can people just completely accept their parents religion? I mean how can they not think, "Oh wow well that doesn't make any sense at all, show me show hard proof and I'll think about."

Hard proof

Are you saying you have hard proof to the contrary then?

Religion

Though we can't prove the existence of one (or many) god(s), we can provide evidence for the power of religion. For good or for evil, faith factors into our everyday functioning: We've evolved to believe. Religion can help us make sense of our world, provide motivation, and bind us together. Nevertheless, structured belief has its drawbacks. So keep your mind open when dealing with dogma.

Spirituality

Spirituality means something different to everyone. For some, it's about participating in organized religion: going to church, synagogue, a mosque, etc. For others, it's more personal: Some people get in touch with their spiritual side through private prayer, yoga, meditation, quiet reflection, or even long walks.
