teaching impulse control

We are not doing a good job teaching our children impulse control. This teaching has two basic parts to it

1) training children to endure something they consider unpleasant to achieve a higher goal.

2) Training children to enjoy what they should enjoy to be healthy like healthy food, exercise, school work and chores.

As a result our nation has too many spiritually bankrupt and over weight children. Sad for them and for us.
