Olympic Athletes Using Boner Drugs?

Viagra is regularly found in the urine samples of male athletes?

Thanks to Pharmalot, my favorite blog on the pharmaceutical industry, I just learned that both Viagra and Cialis are regularly found in the urine samples of male athletes. In fact, their use is so prevalent that athletes refer to them as Vitamin V and the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) is thinking about adding the famed boner drugs to its list of illegal substances.

It seems that Olympic athletes aren't so worried about getting it up as they are getting across the finish line sooner than the other competitors (or over the pole in the case of high jumpers and vaulters). Viagra and its Cialis sister are growing a reputation among athletes as aids in boosting blood flow to the muscles and lungs. The WADA is conducting research on this as I type.

Of course, the women around here have been seriously annoyed since the male Olympic swimmers started wearing those fancy bodysuits instead of the traditional skimpy Speedos, but now we'll all have something new to wonder about during the next Olympics--and maybe even watch for.
