Anti-Aging

Anti-aging, Fountain of Youth, Aging, Getting Old

Identity aside for a moment. 'Anti-aging' is a term that shows up more and more every day. It's also a misnomer. Once we reach maturation, i.e., complete puberty, the aging process begins.

It's easy to become swept up in the anti-aging rage, but it is worth our while to take a moment and ponder what anti-aging really means. Because aging is a normal physical degeneration of the body that cannot be prevented, anti-aging products simply cannot stop people from growing old. There really is no fountain of youth.

The only real alternative to aging is death. So when we complain about getting old, we need to remember that aging is better than the alternative...
