...sensible response to this bit of "research" (term used very loosely) that I've read here on PT's blogs in the past couple of days.

In particular, this paragraph is most apropos:

"I think the most significant factor in forming a satisfying and loving relationship is whether or not a man can be humble. Arrogance and contempt for women spans the range of incomes. When a man shows disrespect and disregard for his lover, and focuses solely on his own gratification, he will not find himself with a very responsive partner."

Your final paragraph sums it all up nicely as well. Kudos for common sense!

I think you nailed it on the head with the paragraph you cite above. By the way, anyone reading this should look at your very excellent blog post about people pleasers.
