I'm a Master's level Psychology person; most of my graduate work was in research design, theory and stats. Thank you for explaining this very basic and important concept. Caveat emptor is right! I'd love to see your top 10 list of basic psychology concepts that every person should know. Many, many people would link to such a post, including me.
