Thank you for this article. It was like a big light bulb went off after reading this, that this is exactly the root of my unhappiness. I didn't realize, and until now didn't know how to attack my depressive spells. Thank you again. I'm going to try to implement your advice.

Application

Application is the most difficult part. If I might make a suggestion: take it easy on yourself when applying the strategies. As with much psychological advice, these strategies are easier said than done, and may require a great deal of effort. But with effort and awareness of the changes you are trying to make success is at hand. Just keep trying to catch your thoughts and focus on letting go of inappropriate control.

Great article

I think it's really important to learn about non-attachment. It can be so tricky to master and we probably never really do master it in life but I think it can be a good goal to strive for. Here is another article about non-attachment and detachment that you might find interesting.
