I can't wait to read the next post!

PS Beavis & Butthead hasn't been on MTV in over 10 years but I looked it up and luckily reruns are currently running on MTV2.

Great post, but the thing

Great post, but the thing with your articles is that you make it sound like the explanation your giving is THE ONLY reason for the phenomenon, which is simply not true, although it may be a big part of it. In this case i think i have an idea where your going to go with this, and if im right that just explains why we believe but not where the idea came from, and why its SO widespread. Thats not all there is to it though, and you have to make it clear when you write it. I think the main reason is the human tendency to humanize inanimate things, and people naturally tend to imagine some kind of consciousness to everything. even i cant help imagining some kind of consciousness behind everything that goes on. Also, there is a phenomenon that little children tend to believe anything their told by somebody they see as an adult, and in the past a god, or many gods, was really the most logical explanation to the mysteries of the world, so the belief was just passed on.

Good Post

Now this is the type of writing I would like to see Kanazawa do more of. The explication is great. Stay out of the political arena, and stick with this.

the genetics excuse again

A less misogynist and culture-bound example would have made the point much better. Try to rein in your chauvinism in the next half.

Here comes Pascal's wager!...or, rather the great sucker bet.

I wonder if I'm right!

Pascal's Wager

Yep, thought the exact same thing ...

So do women make the same

So do women make the same mistake? I would guess there would be less for a woman to lose by missing out on possible sex, but I wonder if it occurs at all.

Also, what is up with your captcha? Looks pretty machine solvable to me.
