Symptoms of Injury to the Brain
Although the causes of injury to the brain vary, the symptoms are the same.
Posted January 30, 2014
Injury to the brain, as mentioned in my previous post, can have various acquired causes, such as a bleed (aneurysm), a clot (stroke), inflammation of the melanin sheath (as seen in MS), or changes in neuromodulators (as in Parkinson's Disease). Also, an injury resulting in a traumatic brain injury can be caused by outside forces, such as automobile accidents, domestic violence, sport or recreational events, or blast injury.
So what do all of these types of injury to the brain have in common? The answer is the symptoms of a brain injury that you, I, or a loved one has endured. The bulleted items below are some, but not all of the various symptoms in each category.
