The only problem with the final paragraph is that cheering with our neighbor may mean cheering for the death of the other team's neighbors. One can hardly argue that British football fans are exemplars of human family feeling. In our own country, the ill-mannered behavior of sports fans towards fans of a visiting team are a typical part of any sporting event and especially American football, which is, of course, as all know, the only real football.
