If marriage makes one depressed then get out of the marriage

Just because there is pressure to get married and stay married doesn't mean one has to do so. Life is too short to go through it depressed. If your marriage is making your depressed and miserable then get a divorce. Marriage is not a contest to see who can do it the longest.

Stop this insanity and get healthy and happy, without making a bunch of marriage counselor rich and yourself poor.
