Trust and Fear

Great article. The obverse problem is fear unregulated by cognitive processes and training.

A great storyteller, Yitzhak Buxbaum, tells stories of his spiritual teacher, Shlomo Carlebach.

Yitzhak says that he would love everyone and give money to anyone and keep nothing for himself.

If I recall correctly, he said or implied that when it came to money, Shlomo's students would have to watch out for him.

Apparently, he was a powerful spiritual teacher but perhaps he and others like him were suffering from kind of shadow syndrome, a mild case of brain dysfunction.
