Trigger people

I found my triggers were related to my childhood. Any form of emotional abuse, verbal unjustified criticsm, negativity, abuse of power, interference and monitoring were lethal. I walked out of an interview once because the interviewer behaved like my mother. Any woman who seemed unhapy, bitter, angry or domineering made my red lights flash. I am also sensitive to brash rudeness. Most woman do not fit the profile.

I had to leave four jobs because of this. In my previous employment my female boss had a tendency to bully and suffer rage. However, she was a nice erson who cared and I just learnt to walk away and come back when she calmed down. At that point the issues were discussed calmly and I said my piece. It worked- we still are good friends.

In the end I chose a job where I was free and could achieve and deliver with pride. I am a gymnasium science teacher in Denmark. They have laws here that try to ensure professional conduct. There seems to be little negativity, criticsim or power abuse. In England I cannot function becasue of the suffocating rules, regulations, laws, paperwork and hierarchy. I have been lucky as a happy work supports the rest of ones life- 40 happy hours a week are a good place to start!
