Are darker skinned African-Americans treated differently than lighter skinned African-Americans? Read More

haven't read either and don't need to
as it is just more hubris concerning a human generated thought pattern we won't fix until we are forced by nature. humans come in colors...just like cats. Some are beige, some are beige with stripes, some are gray, some are hairless, some are brown, some are red, some are black, some are white with pink eyes, some are calico.
the only problem racism presents is attaching attributes deserved or undeserved to a simple marking of hide and humans are the only species which does that within its own genome. Racism is simply human fear of "something not just like themselves." As long as we have too many humans, we will have the luxury of racism and nothing short of a large die-off will change that--when another human, any human, is a boon.
Some of us know that all cats are gray in the dark. A purr is a purr is a purr is a purr--when you need a purr. What we're waiting for, is for the rest of you nit-pickin humans to catch up.
