Last night I presented my entry to the Best Illusion of the Year contest at the Vision Sciences Society.  All 10 finalists got to show their wares and then the audience voted for the winner.  There were some fantastic illusions this time.  Although mine didn't win, the show did give me the chance to wear a gorilla suit in front of more than 1000 of my colleagues.  I've written a little more about my submission at the contest at The Invisible Gorilla.  You can view all of the illusions at the illusion contest website.  Here is my own entry:
