As a tutor I have learned there are several conditions that can cause or mimic ADHD. Unfortunately it is more profitable to treat symptoms than causes.
Thank you for sharing your observation - If there is an underlying learning disorder it might go undiagnosed and therefore untreated or unsupported if the first stop is to diagnose ADHD.
