I think you must add
I think you must add something more!!!! you have really added well. But something new in a narrative form would really be better!!
I have tried teaching my
I have tried teaching my girls ages 23 and 27 both of which are married to have compassion and empathy for others. It blows my mind to see how they treat their mother since their father left me. I have been ill with pnemonia for the past 3 days. One daughter dropped off a can of soup and some 7-up, handed me the bag and left. Haven't heard from her since. That was day 1 of my illness. On the other hand my oldest daughter has called and checked on me the first two days. This being a Saturday the 3rd day...I have not heard one word from her. I have fever, chills, vomiting, with pnemonia and I feel like no one in my family is concern with my health. I even kept my granddaughter last Saturday while she was sick so my daughter could get some things done around the house. Someone tell me... how do you deal with something like this? and this is not the only time something like this has happened.
New Compassion Research
I liked the article in that it questioned the standard "book" definition of compassion and made it clear that it is different from empathy. But there is more to it, and that "more" can be found on the free public service site www.compassionspace.com
Thanks for sending out a compassionate message.
