Crisis created the need to move mother-in-law

We moved my mother-in-law into a nursing home last month after she started to wander. She refused any help for the past ten years, and insisted on living on her own terms. Her unwillingness to face her limitations, and the family not able to cope with her needs, led to a crisis prompting the move.
My advice to any senior reading this or their family members is to make a plan together. It's a very difficult time when the crisis creates the need. Making these decisions is tough, and the difficulty in putting it together in a crisis is the options are fewer.
