I also can't help but wonder how much training this man had in Combat/Operational Stress Control, if there was any nearby COSC units that he could've gone to instead. Was there any stigma against that in his enviroment?

I can't help but wonder what Combat Operational Stress Control resources were available near this soldier. Was he giving any training in COSC? Was there anyone he could've gone to. Was there a stigma against such help?

I imagine he had some training in managing combat stress, but no amount of psychoeducation could counter something like what happened.
