Purpose Driven Motivation

All change ultimately occurs because of decisions (THINKING) people make for themselves. Even if the addict goes to rehab, unless he or she does so for their sake and not others, there will likely be no long term change.

Hopefully a good rehab will help the patient realize what is important to them. Values, character, perspective, coping and understanding skills that facilitate purpose driven motivation.
