If academia refuses to use social media it won't bother me

My local journalists use social media almost hourly. From their tweets I was able to read a news article about the big state university in my area downsizing and laying people off. The problem? Decreasing enrollment. Turns out people don't value a fancy college degree the way they once did. Fewer professors means fewer of my tax dollars being thrown at the big education scam.

If academia wants to avoid the social media train that everyone else is on then please let them make themselves obsolete.
