Glenn Close's Albert Nobbs helps us all understand that sometimes what we think is a dysfunctional exterior actually holds profound inner truth. Read More

Albert Nobbs
I have seen the movie and not only is it visually stunning and cast with truly wonderful, iconic actors it is very, very touching and thought provoking.
One can see Albert begin to hope after a life time of tight control. The vulnerability is gut wrenching and so finely tuned I don't think I have ever seen a more daring moment from an actor letting their soul be seen.
I would hate to see Nobbs be over analysed because it will mean so much to so many people and each interpretation will be very personal.
I am still thinking about what it meant to me. Don't miss it !!!!!
Great art keeps on giving
Thanks for your comments Tina - couldn't agree more. Great art inspires one to think long after leaving the theater - Albert Nobbs does just that. I've had various images from the film pop into my head over the last two days - leaving me lots to mull over.
To those who haven't seen Albert - go see it and join the discussion. I'd love to hear from you!

Don't know if you realize that I am on the consumer part of the equation versus the provider side. I'd love to send you a copy of my book, admire what you are doing. you can email me at julie@struckbyliving.com.BTW I will be featured on Dr. Oz this coming Wed January 18. He is doing a show on ECT and asked me to tell about my experience with the treatment. Looks to be a good show, I am a small but significant segment of a larger show on ECT.
