Interesting posts, but all from your book?
Don't delete this and please respond to your readers as to why this post and others are all excerpted from your book. You have many interesting ideas, but they are all from a book we can purchase. I hope to soon read some more of your ideas that relate to events and issues in the here-and-now. That is what a blog is about, not a series of reprints from a published work.
Thank you for addressing this.

My understanding is that these blogs are
supposed to be about Psychology. There's no
rule about everything having to be about
the "events and issues in the here-and-now".
Also awa, I think if you spent more time reading
blogs (I've probably spend too much) you would notice
that blogs commonly quote from, and excerpt from
published pieces (even their own!).
To Tad Waddington:
I hope you keep up what you are doing, I've very
much enjoyed your blog, it's probably the most
cerebral blog I've ever read.
Terry, you're dead wrong
Cerebral-- yes, I agree. But blogs are not about book promotion; they are essentially online diaries about news, events, etc.
If you read more blog entries outside of Psychology Today [which is becoming a bin for book and self-promotion], you would be aware of this. Take a day and read the Huff Post and the NY Times.

The Huff Post and the NY Times are excellent sites, but
they are *news* sites, so of course their posts are going
to be about news and recent events. Science blogs, on the
other hand, can be about whatever the blogger wants (as long
as they are at least somewhat science related).
Wordpress has over 4 million blogs, the bloggers
can write about whatever they like (there are few
restrictions).
I've got a personal wordpress blog, and I rarely write
about timely events, instead I write about whatever
catches my fancy.
P.S. Over the years, I've read a whole lot of blogs,
and every time a blogger comes out with a book, they
promote their book on their blog, there's nothing
wrong with that. Plus, it's becoming more and more
common for authors to start blogging as a way to
promote their books, again, I really don't see
the problem.
Hit a Nerve?
All I can observe at this point is that I hit quite a nerve with my comments. Why be so defensive? I was just expressing an opinion. You two are showing a whole lot more in your replies. Calm down, Tad, I don't care for the penis and vulva stories either.
