DSM-5 Task Force Extends Deadline for Sending Comments

Deadline for DSM-5 comments extended to July 15

Deadline for DSM-5 comments extended to July 15

The following has appeared on the dsm5.org website, so it's not too late to send comments. After you do that, if you believe in prayer or sending good vibes or whatever, I urge you to do that in the hope that someone on the receiving end will pay attention. But please also consider sending letters, petitions, and emails to the DSM Task Force, call American Psychiatric Association (publiher of DSM) headquarters to express your concerns, writer letters to every editor you can think of, and contact the media in other ways to say what you think.

It's impossible to know why the deadline was extended, but please participate in expressing concerns. Silence is complicity.

DSM-5 Web Site Period for Comments has Been Extended to July 15!

We are extending the period for submitting comments and suggestions to the web site regarding the proposed diagnostic criteria revisions, and the newly proposed organizational structure for DSM-5. We are appreciative of the ongoing interest in contributing to this process and are extending the period for submittng comments until July 15th. This extension will also permit reviews and comments for the newly proposed criteria and approach for the assessment of Personality Disorders, which are now being uploaded to the website for release. Our thanks to those who have already provided contributions to this interactive process.
