This week an internet relationship coach proposed the Disney Myth theory, that "the reason most women have a hard time with men and relationships is because they have a distorted view of what true love really is."
According to this expert, many single women have an unrealistic expectation of love and relationships. http://www.yourtango.com/experts/joe-amoia/disney-myth
Blaming women is a recurrent theme in the realm of marriage and romance studies. For instance, the best selling "Smart Women-Foolish Choices" by Dr. Connell Cowan and Dr. Melvyn Kinder, asserts that women are choosing poor husbands and corrective knowledge would solve the problem. But it isn't that simple. The media of music, movies, and television have taught successive generations of young men that deceiving women is the most effective way to conduct courtship and marriage. It is unfair to blame women for "foolish choices" when even the kindest, most religious and moral young men are using the same deceptive technique to woo and win women as the worst misogynist. How are women supposed to make wise choices when many of the men they meet are pretending to be her Prince Charming?
