Are Brad Pitt's Children Right?

From the mouth of babes...

America's favorite fun couple, actors Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, are reportedly seriously considering marriage after years of cohabitation. The reason? Their children. "The kids ask about marriage. It's meaning more and more to them. So it's something we've got to look at," Brad commented to a reporter this weekend.

Do children know more than adults these days? A recent Pew survey found that only 30% of American adults in the age group 18-29 (known as Millenials) found that marriage is very important. This is a 25% decrease over the same survey of that age group 13 years ago from the Generation X era. This supports a Pew/Time Magazine survey taken last October that showed that 40% of all American adults believe that marriage is obsolete. Men and women are putting their beliefs into action: only 22% of Millenials 18-29 are married compared to 29% of Gen Xers and 40% of Baby Boomers at the same age.

Experts claim economic concerns are a main reason why so many adults are holding off on getting married while having kids, but in Brad and Angelina's case, they are incredibly wealthy so it was a conscious lifestyle choice. Why would the kids be pressuring the parents to marry? Should Brad and Angelina listen to their children?
