To some extent, I agree with

To some extent, I agree with this point of this article. Yes, it is necessary to be careful in one’s approach to conveying messages about drugs. I think that this is a crucial step to preventing drug addiction, especially in today’s society where it is becoming more and more common. However, I do think that there is some basis in what that specific ad is doing. (Keep in mind that I have not seen the ads that the author refers to.)

The first step in advertisement is to get the audience’s attention. For younger kids, this may be a catchy song or colorful animation. For me, the most effective ads are those that I have to think about afterwards; the ones that you’re not really sure what they just said. I like them and they affect me most because I consider them long after it has finished playing. Now, there is a difference between ads for children and those for young adults, as myself. I still believe that this company is on the right track, and at least is getting the message out there for parents to discuss with their kids.
