"Sex Rehab with Dr. Drew," is a reality television show that tracks a group of celebrities whom enter psychiatric treatment for sex addiction. Enticing, right? Unfortunately this show breaks few barriers in following the traditional reality TV recipe: one part spontaneous behavior, one part rehearsed behavior, and a dash of structure. It is an entertaining show that does many things well, and in the service of being effectively persuasive I am going to list those pros before diving into the cons. Read More

Very impressive and illuminating
I'm going to refer everyone who ask me what I think of Dr. Drew to your post.
A little long.
Response
Glad you found the post interesting and, of course, any referral is always greatly appreciated...
Kari-Ann got punk'd
Yes, the structure of Sex Rehab isn't all that innovative, but I expected more from Dr. Drew when Kari Ann got 86'd from the program. Sure, in real life she would have been d/c'd in that manner, but damn, Dr. Drew is probably making mad $ off this show and could have afforded to bring over the inpatient doc and an tech from the other facility to try and persuade Kari Ann to transfer. She had started to open up, and I think with a soft transition, she may have kept working, assuming the new program isn't too regimented. It would have been worth a shot...
Kari Ann, we haven't seen the last of you
Axis 2 peeps tend to make for good television, so I wouldn't be surprised to see Kari Ann on the next take, like Amber. I will take back everything I said in the previous comment if Kari Ann shows up again, implying Dr. Drew didn't hang her out to dry afterall.
Drum roll please....
"Similar to the first two cycles, the third season of Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew will follow the real-life experiences of celebrity patients undergoing detoxification and treatment at the Pasadena Recovery Center. The show will follow Mackenzie Phillips (One Day At A Time), Heidi Fleiss, Dennis Rodman, Mindy McCready (country music singer), Lisa D’Amato (America’s Next Top Model), Mike Starr (Alice in Chains), Kari Ann Peniche (ex-Miss United States Teen) Joey Kovar (Real World Hollywood), and Tom Sizemore."
She's back!
The show also does not
The show also does not explore the possibility that these people are polyamourous. Assuming that monogamy is the only non-pathological choice is wrong, and offensive to people who are non-monogamous.
