Subservience?
Seems men like a woman who strokes their ego(men read it as they might stroke other things?). I think it would be the opposite for women. We would spot the mimicry as condescension, or lack of creativity. These studies should offer balanced assessments to truly e-VALU-ate what's happening. I like the idea of being able to manipulate a man's perception though. I'll have to try that sometime.

In defense of men: actually, the mimicry is quite subtle in these experiments, and outside of the context of dating, there have been other studies that have shown similar effects of mimicry to work on women. For example a mimicking physician will appear as more empathizing and competent...sorry :-)
