I think that this is a great article about self-injury. It really approaches S.I. from the self-injurer's perspective. Threats, confiscation of the items, and basically anything else that stresses out the self-injurer is basically a bad idea.

Great article, full of insight and understanding. Also, SI usually seems to refer to cutting, there are many other types of SI, some which do not leave marks. There is also an "emotional" type of SI (don't know if that's what it called) but there doesn't seem to be much info on it.
