What to Dress with The Top 5 Best how fashion
hi
I'm reading the book now to prepare for a book I am writing. Great job. I remember the token story.
pseudo
I am curious as to why you wrote that piece as a pseudo identity. Someone like you who has had decades of achievements (not the tokens, but the work), feels a certain way about telling that story in the first person? That moment with your child and the epiphany you experienced would be something I’d wish to shout from the rooftop.
Pseudo Identity
Thanks for the comment.
I've told that token story from my life many times, and always from my perspective. I lived it after all. But that was difficult to do in "Your Life on Purpose," especially with three authors and the challenges of finding a common voice. I think if I had written that book by myself, it would have been different in many ways ... likely more personal too.
At the bottom of this blog post, I did come out. I wanted to be clear that the guy in the meaningless token story was not some fictitious amalgam that we concocted. Rather, this was about something real, meaningful, and for me profoundly life altering.
The epiphany was bitter-sweet and it does deserve a voice. Thank you for reminding me of that.
Peace -john
