Currently, rheumatic conditions, including arthritis, lupus, and fibromyalgia, affect approximately 46 million adults in the United States. As a society, the cost in treatment and time lost from work totals $128 billion each year.

There are about 300 million

There are about 300 million people in the US. let's assume around 200 million are adults. So that means about 1 in 4 people suffer from an auto-immune disease? That seems unbelievable to me. Are these numbers made up?
