Equal Pay For Equal Work A No-Brainer, Right?

Even Republicans concede that gender discrimination is no myth yet Senate Republicans blocked--for the third time--the Paycheck Fairness Act, a bill proposing to close the pay gap between men and women. Read More

Pay gap is a myth

This article is an example of feminist propaganda. Women make less than men on average because they are unwilling to work dangerous but high paying jobs such as mining, they take more time off and work less hours due to maternity leave and childcare concerns, they don't negotiate salary at the time of hire, and they usually settle for entry level or middle management positions rather than aspiring to be CEOs.

If women really made less for the same job working the same hours nobody would ever hire men since women would be so much more cost-effective. This isn't even Economics 101.

I would also add that women

I would also add that women tend to stay away from high paying degrees like the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics fields, and favor the low paying liberal arts degrees like Women's Studies.

Productivity

I don't deny that inequality exists, but let's get one thing clear: "Women with the same job, and same qualifications, as men" do not deserve to be paid the same on those bases alone. It's the same reason that two men with the same job and same qualifications are not necessarily paid the same. The amount a person is paid should account for his/her productivity as well.

YAWNNNNNNN!!!

Any women who is so passive, weak and pathetic to not ask for more money when she deserves it probably is also passive, weak and pathetic on the job and therefore does not deserve the money. All this Feministic "HEAR ME ROAR" BS, but in reality it is more like: "Hear me whine, again and again and again and again until the government saves my sorry behind because I am too weak to do it myself.

The women who are winners are out their winning and raking it in as fast as the men who are winners while pushing society forward and up in the process. The losers are voting for Democrats, whining and dragging the rest of us to hell.

This is all political BS brought out by Democrats to cover up the hideous results of the Obama Kleptocracy's massive policy failures.

Please, no politics?

Why are you publishing articles of politics on psychologytoday.com? I don't care if it's left or right, I'm unsubscribing if I have to read pamphlets instead of the content the web site promises.
