The self in social context

Über-Nietzsche

Nietzsche as positive psychologist! Excusez moi? Yup, Nietzsche's philosophy is deeply psychological, and therefore has a lot to say about happiness, and how (not) to attain it. The good news is that you don't need to be an Übermensch to be happy; the bad news is that sitting on your bottom will not do the trick. Read More

nietzsche on so called happiness.

What a trimmed up and ad hoc version of Nietzsche on happiness. Does N. even deploy and/or develop the term? Maybe you indeed should go back and read his entire main corpus. Especially in his GM - which you reference - certainly the most critical component for living a higher life is avoiding/demolishing Christian decadence and ressentment...key conceptsts for N. to say the least ! To finally jettison by "deconstructing" the root errors/lies that have lead to these quite un- happy states..."truth as a problem" as N. beautifully, humorously, if not ascerbically, argues: to wit...our concepts greatly influence our experience. For N. "happiness" greatly turns on the capaciy to live without truth. N. as a major stepping stone for postmodernism...that is to say, "now."

Geniune happinesscame from action.

Man is creative animal.Without creating he could not survive.Man experiences tremendous joy in creating. If you watch carefully man`s great effort in his everyday life he is creating some thing when finish his creation he get pure joy and self satisfaction. That is his highest moment of happiness. I think all other happiness are futile compared to above joyful rapture, ecstasy.
