An insider's guide to success in the workplace

The Culprit Behind Bad Habits, Addiction & Going Nowhere Good

One single answer to creating change in your life for the better.

Ubiquitous it is. Destructive behavior is everywhere. People are lost in addiction of every kind, stuck in cycles of bad habits and/or paralyzed by an inability to go forward in life. They typically talk about what they "will do," "someday," but all too often those words and sentiments fall on deaf ears... primarily their own. Why?

addiction, addicted, happy, bad habits, healthy lifestyle
Well, in lieu of the years it takes to look inward and raise consciousness, there is another, more tangible clue right out in the open; and it comes in the form of excuses. We can make them for just about everything. Staying in an unhealthy relationship. Eating food that is bad for us, but makes us feel good. Drinking. Smoking. Shopping. Gambling. Overeating.  Surfing the Internet.  Facebooking.  Starving. Purging. Sexing. Working. Failure to try. Fear of success. And the list goes on and on and on. There is a bogeyman in all of us that can justify any of it, and then some. That, in the end, turns out to be the most dangerous habit of all.

So instead of focusing on the behavior, listen to the voice that comes up with one excuse after the next.    Becoming familiar with it is a more direct path to freeing yourself, because instead of trying to force yourself to stop doing whatever, (insert vice or destructive behavior here) you can simply tell it to shut up and get out of the way.
